Dr. Dalia Shlash is focused on working with each patient not just to create the perfect smile for them, but to develop the right bite and help them attain and maintain great oral health. She believes in engaging with every patient to get them excited about their oral health and help them become knowledgeable advocates for their care. Dr. Shlash knows that if a patient has a good orthodontic experience and learns about the importance of keeping their mouth healthy, they will have a better life.

Understanding that being an orthodontist means a commitment to lifelong learning, and in order to stay up to date on the latest proven care options and diagnostic and treatment technologies, Dr. Shlash seeks out continuing education opportunities throughout the year. Attending and participating in conferences, meetings, and lectures allows her to stay at the leading edge of knowledge, so she can provide her patients with the best orthodontic care available.
Dr. Shlash is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontics, and Maryland State Society of Orthodontists.
Dr. Shlash resides in Columbia, MD with her husband Sammy, who is a cardiologist with Johns Hopkins and beautiful daughter Layla. In their free time, they love to travel the globe, and learn about different cultures and traditions. Dr. Shlash also enjoys local outdoor activities, including biking, hiking, and swimming, and she likes to play volleyball, too.
